10/16/00 I went to the transplant office at University for follow up visit. I saw Dr. F. I brought the picture of the stone from Dr. Accurso. The catheter was removed and my Coumadin was raised to 2.5 to treat the clot. Dr. F said, "taking 1.0 of Coumadin is like not treating the clot at all."

10/17/00 Today I weighed myself. 99 pounds. Normally I am 117-120.

10/19/00 This morning I take my last dose of Vancomiacin. The PIC line is removed by Aprea Healthcare in my home.

10/19-10/21/00 Vomited 10/19 in the evening. Vomited 4 times 10/20. I called Dr. F and he said that it was a "soft" sign and could be a reaction to going off of the medication. He gave me a number to call if I needed to reach him over the weekend! If the vomiting persisted with ANY other symptoms, I was to call him. No further problems.

10/24/00 Follow-up CT Scan at University. Spoke to Deb McNamee at Prudential who said "there is nothing I can do, please submit all the bills to your own insurance company". I asked her if only the non-hospital bills should go to MY insurance company and she replied, "no, it looks like all bills after 9/15."

10/27/00 Saw Dr. Accurso in the office for a visit and blood test. I was feeling good. Abdomen measured in at 29 inches, down from about 33.

11/7/00 Today I went to work for the first time since August 4th.(My co-workers are thrilled to see me, but I am 20 pounds light and still walking leaning over). I spoke with my boss and will work 2-3 hours a day until I am stronger. I can only do administrative duties. I cannot teach classes in the pool or in the gym.

11/14/00 Saw Dr. Koneru in his office. He said that the bile leak is all cleared up and his concern is still the blood clot. He wants me to remain on Coumadin, keep it monitored so that the levels can be kept in the correct range to be effective, have another ERCP in 3-5 months and see him again in 6 months. Maybe at that time, I can be weaned off of the Coumadin or surgery will have to be performed to correct the damage done by the clot. Abdomen measured in at 27.5 inches.

11/16/00 Saw Dr. Accurso at Somerset Medical Center for same-day surgery. The stent was removed and there is no leak. My blood work was good. He was pleased with my progress and said I should see him again in 3-4 months.

12/14/00 Today I began 4 hour days. I will begin regular days in January. I am still not teaching.

Dr. Dzicki now monitors my Coumadin level. I have to have blood drawn every week.

12/21/01 Blood drawn.

1/5/01 Increase Coumadin to 3.0
